They grow up too fast

Just an update on the family. I now have a 2 year old as well as a 3 1/2 year old and a 8 month old.

Bug is learning to write letters and asks me to help her spell words all the time.

Q-ball has hit the "I want" stage and is driving us nuts. But he is so sweet!

Kyky is army crawling all over the house, loves eating, and thinks paper should be part of his diet.

Witch finger crayons!!

The complete assortment!
Recently I have decided to take on some projects to get myself out of a slump.  Among these projects has been painting Halli's headboard and foot board, crocheting slippers, recycling crayons, and decorating the house more.  The headboard isn't totally finished, but Halli got sick of sleeping in the guest room, so I'll add the heart accents later.  The crayons were a great way of putting the witch finger mold my Mother In Law got Halli last year to use, and they made amazing crayons I might add!!  It was rather a messy process, since I am a perfectionist (and it was 95 outside so I didn't want to turn on my oven) I microwaved the crayons in my glass measuring cup and then poured them into the mold so I wouldn't overfill them.  It worked for the most part, and I didn't really have to clean out the cup between crayons because it would blend so well.  The only problems were that the microwave and measuring cup got really hot and I had to take some comet to my measuring cup afterwards because regular soap and water would clean all the crayon off completely.  But other then that the kids have cool new crayons, no more papers on them, and no more tiny broken pieces everywhere!!

A Night Away

I know it's been forever, so I'll catch up on what's in my camera since the few people that read this blog are family and they know all the going's on before this.

So my mother in law came to visit the end of February and we had a lot of fun site seeing and spending time together.  But by far the best part was the 2 days away that we spent in Columbia, South Carolina.  Chad and I purchased a groupon a while ago for a hotel stay and decided to take advantage of it.  We had a ton of fun and enjoyed the longest break we've had since Halli was born!  So enjoy the photos!

In case you were wondering

Yes, we are still alive.  We have been super busy since the baby has been born and one of these days I will either update my blog or delete it..... hopefully the first!  So long until next time.
